A few weeks ago, NEF's president & CEO Matthew Reilein spoke at the grand opening of Lakeview, a new affordable housing development in the heart of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
The six-story, fully accessible building has 37 affordable homes and was created in collaboration between OTR (Over The Rainbow Association), Lakeview Lutheran Church and the city of Chicago to provide independence for residents with disabilities. The development is transit-oriented with reserved two-unit homes for permanent supportive housing for residents with mental health needs.
NEF's Danny Gutman also attended the event as well as community members and state and local officials such as Mayor Johnson.
