A few weeks ago, NEF team members celebrated the groundbreaking of El Nido, a new affordable housing community in Lake Oswego. Developed by Hacienda Community Development Corp. (CDC), this complex will bring 55-units to the area and will provide families and individuals with safe, stable homes while offering a range of amenities and supportive services designed to foster opportunity and belonging.
El Nido will feature a community room and kitchen for resident gatherings, a children’s play area, and outdoor spaces including a native forest garden and water-conscious landscaping. Sustainable design elements such as solar panels will help reduce utility costs, while elevator access and dedicated parking ensure accessibility and convenience. In addition, culturally specific resident services led by Hacienda CDC and trauma-informed supportive housing services provided by New Narrative will create a nurturing environment where residents can thrive.
This milestone reflects the strength of collaboration among local leaders, nonprofit partners, and advocates committed to expanding housing access. El Nido demonstrates how communities can come together to create housing that builds opportunity and strengthens the future of Lake Oswego.
