It's official, Bethany Senior Terraces has opened its doors! Congratulations to our partners at RiseBoro Community Partnership on transforming the former site of the Bethany Methodist Homes for the Aged into a modern, Passive House building to provide affordable housing and supportive services to seniors in Brooklyn, NY.

The site where Bethany Senior Terraces now stands has been providing senior housing and services for nearly a century, a legacy that the current building continues with 57 homes reserved for residents 62 years and older earning 50% of the area median income. On-site services provided by the developer include case management, health coordination, and social and recreational programming, all of which assist seniors in aging in place and independently as well as maintaining stable housing. The hydroponic greenhouse with a connected community kitchen will be used for residents to learn about cooking and gardening.

We are thrilled to support the efforts to expand the creation and preservation of affordable housing like Bethany Senior Terraces with likeminded, mission-driven partners who envision a society where increased access to affordable housing empowers every individual and family to reach their full potential.
