Brighton Place: Poway, CA
Brighton Place consists of 77 new construction, affordable apartments located in the San Diego suburb of Poway. The development has 44 two-bedroom/1.5-bath units and 33 three-bedroom/2.5 bath units and targets families earning from 30 percent to 60 percent of the area
median income. Designed in townhouse-style, the apartments have a kitchen and living areas on the ground floor and bedrooms on the second.
A community building with a lounge, laundry room, common kitchen and computer room is available to the residents as well as two outdoor playgrounds and a picnic area. The leasing office is also located in the community building.
Poway is a short distance east of Interstate 15, the primary north-south highway that links San Diego and the "Inland Empire" of Riverside and San Bernardino counties. The interstate provides easy access to downtown San Diego, Mission Valley and other employment centers along the corridor to the south. Proximity to these locations and an excellent school system make Poway an attractive place to live.
Brighton Place is sponsored by San Diego Interfaith Housing Foundation (SDIHF), a long-time partner of National Equity Fund, Inc. and its parent Local Initiatives Support Corporation. SDIHF helps low-income families obtain safe and decent affordable housing. As of 2011, its rental portfolio included 14 projects totaling 1,060 residences.
