NEF, Inc.’s $6.9 billion equity portfolio includes 1,600 projects (100,000 units) that respond to a diversity of local housing concerns.  In both urban and rural communities, we invest tax-credit equity in multifamily and single-family developments, as well as in supportive housing, public housing revitalization, assisted living and historic rehabs.  NEF works with nearly 700 partners to build affordable housing in 45 states, including Washingtion, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Across the country, NEF, Inc. is helping neighbors build communities.

Featured Project: Verne Barry Place

Verne Barry Place

Verne Barry Place is a creative example of building preservation and adaptation in Grand Rapids, Mich., designed to meet the needs of some of the area’s lowest-income residents. NEF invested $13.5 million on behalf of eight investors to fund this impressive "green" development.

The 116-unit supportive housing project, developed by Dwelling Place, Inc., features seven commercial spaces and serves homeless residents, including veterans.
