Northeast Regional Contacts and Project Information

In many ways, the Northeast is the birthplace of NEF, Inc.'s national commitment to affordable housing. In 1980, before LISC ever conceived of a tax-credit syndicator, it focused its initial efforts and investment dollars on rebuilding blighted housing in Harlem and the Bronx, focusing on locally driven efforts to revitalize neighborhoods.

Today, NEF, Inc. continues that tradition, not just in New York City, but throughout the region. In addition to providing equity, our Northeast team helps CDCs navigate the complicated and confusing mix of federal tax and housing laws that govern tax-credit deals.

"Different communities throughout the region face very different issues, and only those people with close ties at the local level an truly identify and serve those needs. That's why NEF, Inc. operates the way we do: as a true, long-term partner," notes Northeast Vice President Tony Lyons.
